I poured minimal blood into it.

But if you're going to suggest that the game doesn't deserve a good score, then you should be pointing out how other minigame / collections did things better. Not how epic platformer 6 was such a better game. Save that comparison for the platformer reviews.

No this is one of the best minigame collections I've played

however, they're just minigames, and can never deliver what a full game can

I do think New and Tasty is a fantastic minigame collection, and have no problem with Black Squirrel's score of it.

However, to be fair, some of the arguments in this topic do remind me of how I feel about that Pyoro game on the main site having such a huge score. (I've often been like "the hell?" about a very simple game like that being close to Toad Strikes Back in score.)

TSB is a first class platformer. So I'd be more worried about crappy platformers scoring as high as it. --------------------

Well, another part of it was just that the gameplay of that Pyoro game didn't impress me much. It had some nice effects and the stage music was well-chosen, but there didn't seem to be too much other than that.

The creator of a Metroid fan website (Metroid Headquarters) hosted it for me. The game has nothing to do with Metroid. It's a Pictochat and Mario fangame, and not Metroid at all.
