What do you guys feel about a music guessing game?, For NCFC, on the radio

I had a great idea yesterday and I'd like to try it if everyone thinks it's a good idea.

Basically, I'll pick 25 songs from different Nintendo games over the years. Some obvious, some more obscure. You hear them all, maybe twice, on the NCFC radio, and you PM the results to me or an account we set up.

You get one point for guessing the right game, and another point for guessing what the song is, for a total of 50 points.

The most points wins! In the case of a tie, I'll try to pick 5 harder, really obscure songs.

Does this sound like a good idea? I'd like to try it, but I want to see what y'all think of it.

I have no idea yet, just in the idea phase

I love this idea and I fully support it.

It wouldn't work if the winner was the person who guessed before the others, you know, since that would sometimes depend on the stream speed and connection speed overall.

But it would be funny, anyway.

I don't know many "obscure" songs from Nintendo games. The only one on the top of my head is the theme for the Galactic lab where you free Mespirit/Azelf/Uxie in D/P.
But even the "obscure" ones are too easy.

This is a great idea. The prize could be something like a brand new badge (or some of the older ones, like KFC *wink wink*).

It's a nice idea, but you might want to do something so that media players like WMP or Winamp won't display the names of the songs.

If I can do a live DJ session and remix songs on the fly and have the radio just say "DJ Yoshiman Live," I can definitely do that.

I liked those music quiz things in the GC when they were on

You should only play part of the songs, and pick the less-obvious parts to make it harder. And making the songs sound less like the main themes also helps (for example, choose the "Bowser's base was found" theme from SMG as opposed to the Bowser level themes from SMG).

Well we could play the game twice.
And nobody who would have the answers beforehand would have a distinct advantage, because they wouldn't want to give anything away that would decrease their chances.

renaming the format before uploading them is clearly difficult and requires mass amounts of technical expertise.

No matter what format you give it, the id tags will result in the same in the title.
