You already have 5+ of each badge. Why must you still always participate and take someones top 5 place?

Your right, just becuase it doesn't add to my total, I should stop doing something I enjoy instead of adding to the selection voters can choose from.

Besides, what fun is a comp without a challenge?

If you're in it's no challenge, it's a crime. Not to be harsh, but you win every time. Nobody (of the not-so-epic spriters) can win if you enter.

I've lost plenty of times. Besides, this can spur others to try harder.

I'm not going to completely stop entering just becuase everyone else want less challenges.

Besides, I only enter every once in a while, noy every comp.

ITT noob spriters complain that someone with actual talent made something that beats their 5 minute MSpaint drawings.

EDIT: UPDATED THE UPDATE! YEAH AGAIN! I added another door-esque thing from Bowser's Castle in MLSS style. Because the more content the better!

One more frame to go and I'm done...

EDIT: Oh ****, looking at this zoomed out, the bottom area of the door is a bit off, I'll fix that when I add the final frame...

My SMW doors don't stand a chance. But whateva, I spent so much time in them that I must enter.

If you'd be in my place and didn't have elite spriting skills, it'd be a lot more understandable.

And SGG, if you want something, enter the goshdarn minigame and drawing comps. You could get a new badge and sprite compers would stand a change.

I rather have you enter all of the competition because I like the challenge.

Its better when the good people win, it means you have to be better.

It's kinda big to post here so I just posted the thumbnail.


I decided to recreate the door which SML2's six golden coins had to be placed. Obviously I modified the design, adding the big 'ol W in the center... Plus I think the original door was rectangular. The top row of animations is the activation of the door after the coins have been placed in and the bottom is, obviously, the door opening. I couldn't remember the exact designs on the six coins so I guessed based on scraps of memories and the world titles. I think I got all of them right except Macro World, I thought that it was an ant but I could be wrong. At one point I thoguht the hippo stage had its own coin so I created that by mistake and through it in to the mix for the heck of it.

It's far from perfect but I had fun. It does make it within the sixteen colors per sprite rule, even with the door and coins combined into one sprite.

Yeah, but it's almost like this:
You're the fastest runner in your entire country. And then Usain Bolt challenges you. Even if you can beat ANYONE from your country, you still don't stand a change against Bolt.

The only fault in that is that SOMEONE has been able to defeat the l33t h4x skillz of Shyguy Grey.

Oh, and here's my entry:

They're supposed to be in a style like SMW's. They use SMW's colors and the Mario from SMW fits goodly in these doors (or at least some of them). Can you spot the Cave Story reference?

Good thing I deleted my entry, it was just another door...seriously, this idea for a sprite comp. wasn't that good now that I think about

Having ShyGuy enter actually makes me want to practice spriting, and beat him.
