Also I went through a weeaboo stage where I was learning japanese. (Although it wasn't inspired by the internet. My brother knew someone who learned japanese online so I figured "Hey, I could do that.")

I actually thought up stuff like "His body is made of a rare myrrodian metal, which is impossible to pierce with any regular bullet, but it is known to weaken when heated. It could be recreated in today's world, as an alloy made up of 75% titanium, 12% tungstun 3% aluminum and 10% Copper."
