| QUOTE (tomster785 @ Oct 29 2008, 02:31 PM) | 1.I'm not sure I wanna play it. They have added vehicles which will make it suck 2.Rare have sucked since they went Microsoft 3.They need to go back to Nintendo. Where they will make better games. 4.The Xbox 360 owners don't want games like Viva Pinata they only want shooters (well if most of the games for the 360 are shooters how can they not?) |
1.Bull****. Vehicles don't make it suck. I played it. I love it. The vchicles make the game better. And since Banjo is a slow arse(It's been ages since his last adventure, what do expect, him to be in tip-top shape?) they are needed. His abilities are in the vehicles's gadgets only, not Banjo himself! And you can't not play the game and say it sucks. 2.No. No. NINTENDO have sucked since they lost RARE. Nintendo fail now, but Rare is still at the top of the gaming awesomeness chart. This is better than SMG. 3.Nintendo's Wii has about 5 good games on it. 360 has this, VP, it's sequel, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Tomb Raider:Anniversary, Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion, Castle Crashers, Portal, Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, HL2:Ep1, HL2:Ep2, and Bionic Commando. Not to mention BC:Rearmed.
It's teh best 3D Platformer I've played, and Nintendo fanboys should be ashamed that they're bashing it.

Just got it, and wow, this game is a ton of fun.
Vehicles or not, traditional Banjo or not, you will probably love this game. The controls are perfect, on-foot controls more or less exactly the same as the original game, except you're stripped of most moves. There is a suprising amount of actual platforming in the game though. Showdown Town is full of it, and I actually spent most of my time on foot in Showdown Town. In BanjoLand there's a replica of a Rusty Bucket Bay ship, and if you don't have propellers the only way to get on to it is to climb the ropes.
Enough about on-foot though, because the vehicles are just plain fun to use. The handling is kinda weird at first I guess, but they control so much better than I originally thought. The videos I saw made it look like the vehicles were pretty hard to control, but it's quite the opposite, they're easier than most racing and driving games by far. I made a vehicle that controlled pretty bad though, but luckily for those who aren't very creative such as myself, there are premade vehicles that you can customize or leave as they are. Most challenges I was able to get through without making my own vehicles, but this one Jinjo challenge I found was pretty difficult and I couldn't complete it because I didn't have the right parts.
I urge everyone who had second thoughts about this game to try the demo, it is so much fun. Also, this is probably the first game that made physics fun. I crashed into Boggey's igloo and it collapsed, I jumped into Mr. Freezeezy's pipe and it fell down with great speed, etc.

1.Totally agreed. 2.No Nintendo has not had Rare since they lost Rare. The only thing that hurt was Donkey Kong. And that is an opinion, I'll have to wait till its released. 3.Bull****, Nintendo has plenty of great titles. Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, Wario Land Shake It, Rayman Raving Rabbids (1-3), De Blob, Animal Crossing Wii, Disaster Day of Crisis, and Conduit.
