Spectrus is the latest game ive been working on, and seen as ive never actually completed a game, i want to see this through to the end.
anyway.
In spectrus you control an orb type character, whom you move with the arrow keys, by moving onto different coloured pads you can change into that colour which will generate a sort of slipstream effect behind you. to kill enemies and advance onto the next level, you must trap enemys of the same colour in your slipstream, for example, a red enemy would need to hit a red slipstream to die.
once all the enemies in a room are dead, you advance ontothe next level.
This game has no lives, or score. It has a death counter, the object of the game is to try and complete it in as little deaths as possible, hopefully, the finished version will have an online highscore table and, hopefully, some kind of online vs. mode.

Some screens: user posted image

This game is meant to be really hard.
The Brawl music and sfx are only there until i start making the actual music.
Even though it says there are 100 levels on the title screen, in this demo there are only 19.

If anyone finds any glitches, has ideas, or just wants to post their score please do.

The idea is cool, but when making arcade games like this, they have to be graphically appealing aswell as there's not much gameplay into them. You got that almost right, but some reflections and stuff would be neat.

Also the movement is pretty wierd, but I guess you get used to it after a while.

Neat game idea.

If you're going to keep the background black, you should remove the outline on the sprites. It doesn't look very good.
Floor reflection wouldn't be so good, because then the "floor" would raise when you're going upwards. Wall reflection would be better. And you asked how to do the reflection. I have an idea, but I'm not sure if it will work/is good: In the draw events of all visible objects, draw the same sprite as the object has, but lighter, and a few pixels down/up/whatever.
