The laptops are surprisingly convenient, but the overall problem with macs is the style and lack of the ability to use 90% of PC compatible software.

I'm very happy with mine as a film student because Final Cut > all other basic editing software.

macs are a blessing for the people who don't play VIDEO GAMES and use WONDERFUL ADVANCED PROGRAMS

Macs do indeed blow, poor quality parts, truncated for style and looks...

Seriously, anyone who knows anything about computers would not touch a mac for computer RELATED stuff with a 10ft pole.

Linux: runs servers and you'll config **** forever
Mac: If you're doing anything other than being ARTISTIC, then kindly, **** off.
Windows: Ohgod I'm not sure what I'm doing

I'm forced to use one because Digital Media major. I hate it. It crashes in sleep mode. SLEEP MODE.


Edit: But as a plus it can render 3D like a beast.
Edit2: Except it can barely handle flash animations.

Ick, I hate Macs. All the computers in my school are Macs, and they can't even process most of the buttons on here. clicking red Xs are go!

And these tiny keyboards suck. Every time I type (which is alort) I press the key besidd it. See, I'm gaining a typing accent. Stipid.

Well, garage band is pretty cool. But that's it. This think can't run flash animations.

macs are pcs, goddamn i ****ing hate apple for making those ****ty lol xD mac vs pc commercials THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN OSX AND WINDOWS HOLY ****. A MAC IS NEARLY EXACTLY LIKE A PC IN EVERY WAY EXCEPT FOR MINOR HARDWARE DIFFERENCES. you can run osx on a laptop that has similar specs to one of apple's pcs.

however we can't let the consumer know that! apple makes its profits from selling ****ty hardware, not from OSX so they bundle them and pass the hardware and os as the same thing to raise profits.
