So I've heard lots of people say that Ocarina of Time is the best game ever and such, but I like Majora's Mask more. So which do you like better?

Honestly, MM. The story alone is twice as gripping.

too different to say which one's definitively better. mm fleshed out some of the things in oot like the trading sequences and character interactions, but oot was more of your classic epic zelda adventure.

MM and OoT are one perfect game split in two. One is the perfect social interaction/sidequest Zelda (which is my favorite Zelda game, and one of my favorite games ever) and the other is the ultimate "classic" Zelda game. I agree with you on this.

I do prefer MM though. Just wandering around, stalling for time, doing side quests... Yeah, that's the game for me. You don't even have to finish a temple to get to the next one. s soon as you get a key item or bow power, you can advance to the next dungeon.

Majora's Mask. I tend to never do sidequests on most games but MM does it way different than any other game I've played. The Sidequests contribute more to the game than the story itself and they are loaded with lots of character and story development to the game. Just playing through it without the sidequests makes the entire game pretty boring because you know your goal from just about 5 minutes into the game. Retrieve the mask, very simple where as the sidequests show the story of the NPC's from their point of view. Pretty much almost every NPC in MM has something to contribute.

I love them both and can't decide between them. Ocarina of Time had a grand quest, what with 10 or more dungeons and a world that changed, sometimes drastically, from past to future, while Majora's Mask had a more stable, slightly smaller world with lots of depth, each day being different from the next.

I love the sound effects they use in both. <3

Majora's Mask gets my vote right now, though, because I'm currently in the mood for it.

MM. Seems more fun with the masks, and the 3 day time limit was a fun new concept.

I have very fond memories of both. I'll say MM because the mask element was incredibly fascinating.
