GODAMMIT!

I thought that it was very clear just in that blog entry, but I think that if you have read Sparker's previous posts, you would understand where this is all coming from. The anger is not because of a stupid power button issue. That's just what set it off. The real resentment has been brewing for much longer.

Fixing the power button should a fairly easy venture!

Then again it'd be annoying if the spring mechanism was broken.

Have you considered locking your computer or making it password protected or something so she doesn't mess around with it?

Also, question -- who bought the computer?

Just like my mom. Always using the computer for her e-mail when I leave it alone. Stupid pointless e-mail. Messing things up.

That's the worse thing that could happen man, the very worst!

Because when I want to escape the horrible horrible parts of reality like having friends

Not exactly, but you are in the right direction. This is more that he is angry about ALL the past stuff that his mom (or, who knows, maybe other people?) have done. I am in a very similar situation that he is in, and I know that's how I feel.

Plain and simple almost everyone in this topic needs some ****ing help. INTERWEBZ NO MORE?! SUICIDES! or MAH MOMMIES BUSTED DA COMPUTA LET"S BE A DICK ABOUT IT!

If this was rude deal with it, this topic has honestly pissed me off to no end.

EDIT: also leaving reality for the internet is extremely unhealthy and i do recommend you stay away from your computer for a month or so

Well, we got the computer fixed and now I'm back. I've forbidden my mother from going on the computer from now on.

Who knows? She might break it again...

She did.

Also, the problem was that a plastic hold that was keeping the button intact was broken in three areas when she pushed it too hard.

Wow, that's kinda jerkish.

I don't let my mum use my computer either.

Though she has two of her own and I live 89.6 miles away.

So your mother bought a computer for the family. She broke it, tried to fix it, but couldn't unfortunately. You found out and had a *****fest which you also dragged onto the internet to get more attention on yourself.

When someone managed to fix it, you then 'banned' your mother from using something that SHE bought

She's bad with technology. She managed to shut off the cable on our TV about 10 times in the past. Also, she's okay with it.

Then she has perfect right to use it.

If you had purchased your own computer (as Medaf and I did), I'd support you in your banning your mother from your computer, but seeing as she paid for it (and probably doesn't have a computer of her own), she has a right to use it.

I always hate it when kids refuse to share things with their parents when it was their parents who bought the thing for them in the first place. Either buy your own stuff and be a little more independent and responsible, or be dependent and learn to share.
