I don't really know how to color my drawings good. What does the "pros" on this site, like Ashura, Soiyeruda, NICKtendo DS, Neopolis, and so on use for coloring? Do you have any ideas for a background I could use?

Oh. I didn't interpret it that way. I just assume nobody is going to interpret another member into their drawings, so I took the former. Though I have seen drawings of members/non-mario characters in drawing comps on occasion!

In any case, I don't think it's allowed. The key rule here is this one:

6. Each artist may only enter one entry and one picture that is THEIR OWN, ONLY. Do not post two pictures (unless one is an unfinished, unqualifying sketch and the other is the finished product), do not post two pictures back to back in one file or entry. Do not post pictures for other people, do not post pictures for people who are banned. Any extra pictures that break this rule will be removed, and if you continue you will be taken out of the competition and all pictures will be removed. If you continue further, mods and admins will take care of you from there.

The "THEIR OWN, ONLY" part tells me that if anyone else helped in any way by drawing, coloring, etc. to the picture, then it doesn't make it a single artist's only, which disqualifies it. It's still a bit vague, but I believe that each competitor has to do it themselves, and cannot team up.

If you honestly have to team up, it means that there is room for improvement for you.
If you are a mediocre colorer, then practicle coloring.
Want to move from colored pencils to digital coloring? Grab Photoshop (or some other art program) and find a tutorial, or experiment yourself.
Can't draw good bones? Get a picture of a real bone and use it as a reference to base your off of.
