i can think of a few members where if they ever found out there were dupes of them on the forum, they'd instantly be like "get the hell out of this forum and don't come back if you know what's good for you"

Seriously, I think unbanning jinpen was the stupidest decision the moderation team has made in a long time.

Permabans are "perma" bans for a reason.

Biddy, Cutman, Mugen, Dann Wolf (this could have room for error on my end, but i couldn't think of anyone who'd honestly want him back), Eggman Dr (lawl), whoever that member was that suddenly started posting porn/disgusting images out of nowhere

The only thing that is holding back your fruitful experience on MFGG is yourself

Mugen is half of the active members so I see no prob with more dupes from him.

Not to mention, I, Mugen 5, ain't the smartest Mugen around.

You should ask Mugen 9 about that stuff.

i say just ban them for a year, cause you should be able to change within a year.

Keep them banned. They were banned for a reason.

He could be, but that would completely destroy the Brainiac reference considering he just got to Brainiac 11.

I totally agree with the idea that if they've been permabanned, then they should stay banned.

HOWEVER, I also believe we've set an unfair precedent by allowing members like MechaBowser, Jinpen, Biddy, Cutman, and Mugen to come back. In all honesty, Zash's permaban wasn't fair. He was a pretty good member who made some mistakes. Yet people like Biddy, who was a cool guy (but a terrible, terrible member), get to come back because the populace of MFGG wants them back.

The idea here isn't really "hey, u stay b&!" It's closer to "well, u wer b& for no gud reazon. stay b&."

I have no problem personally with Zasshou coming back.

It was a single offense which he credibly gave people to understand (as Vihuri) that he regretted doing and would never do again.

Also people who did stuff that was a ton worse got let back on, as Mecha pointed out. Some of those unbannings were nothing short of terrible mistakes (like Biddy's unbanning and subsequent return as KnightMan), and therefore shouldn't be considered as precedent, but this seems to be a different sort of matter because there was likely never any real evidence that Biddy would act good upon his return, whereas it seems fairly clear to me that Zasshou, who was well-behaved except for that one instance, would act up again if he was unbanned.


But the real clincher here is that he was re-banned when the mod who did it was unaware that either a discussion was still taking place or Zasshou had just been allowed to stay, after Mecha had asked about it beforehand.

In my opinion, the proper course might be to just continue where things left off concerning Zasshou at the time when SGG unexpectedly banned him. In other words, if the admins/mods were discussing letting him back at the time, perhaps they could continue the discussion now.


That said, however, I definitely am 100% against anyone ever being allowed back when evidence does not strongly show that they'd be consistently good if allowed back. Also, people should never be allowed back if they've already been perma'd twice or more.

Plus, there are some things that are just too severe for people to ever deserve to be let off in this way for. One example, of course, is a takeover of the forums, like Cutman and Biddy were involved in.



@Yoshiman: Mugen isn't permabanned. I'm not completely sure you're saying he is, though.

And I thought Eggman Dr was never perma'd (assuming he's Freaky Mutant Man now, which I'm pretty sure he is).

Zash can just be like all the other pema'd members and make a new account and pretend to be someone else for awhile

then we find out it is him and not care anymore

he did, even Black squirrel made topic in forum 12 about it. (probably saying not to ban him, Since I pm'ed black squirrel addressing the matter) Shyguy grey re banning him was a result of SGG not checking forum 12. I love how every time a mod bans someone when they shouldn't have. they just 'wash their hands of the matter' and avoid admitting their wrong or fixing their own mistakes. :|
