Use MIDI, only ones that don't suck. You might be able to find some sort of sound canvas DLL that'll make the music sound nicer.

And BTW, a sound canvas is magical thing that takes MIDI data and generates nicer sounds as opposed to having the sound card generate sounds. I do believe this is what OGG does, only in MIDI format.

Someone said Midis with downloadable MP3s to replace them.

Do that.

I think I'll include an mp3 version and an midi version in a zip archive

Nah, I realized that MIDIs really aren't good for anything anymore. I'm just going to use MP3s.

I'm not sure at all.

I seriously detest .midi type files because of it's quality. Especally when it used for the corny remixes.

Using .mp3 types on fangames don't work well because it's not very well adapt when it comes to looping music tracks.

Normally I would just suggest .wav, but that consume a lot of memory alone...
So I would agree with RetroXYZ to find a converter to change the .wav or .ogg type to .dll. I notice many fangame designers play music with that file type.

Well hello there! You have stumbled upon my old account at MFGG! Well...I was pretty cringy back then. But hey, it is what it is, you can't change the past.  Everyone has to start off from somewhere right?

PS. I've also found out that IPB is pro-China. Taiwan isn't a country here.

but that's only if you load them into the editor....
now... if you load them externally, then problem solved... you left with a small game, but with good music...

This is the way I prefer.
Its easy and you get good quality.
