er; isn't it primarily used by people making fun of those who diagnose themselves with asperger as a crutch of an explanation for why they suck in social settings?

The docters say that I have ADD, but reading the aspergers symptoms, I'm thinking that I might have that.

Primarily, but I know people who use the term talking about theirselves for the laughs it generates. but assburgers isn't funny, so

I don't really see the difference in ADD and ADHD.

I have a short attention span, hyperactive and pretty smart compared to other people my age.

One thing I do know is I have ADHD.

ADHD is ADD, but you're hyper. ADD means you have a Short Attention Span.

- are hyper
- dont pay attention
- are socially akward

now everything is all HEY YEAH YOU HAVE ATTENTION LOSS HYPERACTIVITY 50% OFF YOUR NEXT CAR AT THE SATURN DEALERSHIP IN GRAND RAPIDS FOR THE NEXT WEEK IF YOU BRING IN YOUR ASS BURGERS SYNDROME

WHICH MEANS YOU CANT PAY ATTENTION VERY WELL

Technically, ADHD and ADD are the same disorder.

No; already had checked for that. Though it could be some other condition that I don't know of.

Maybe unfit?

Anyways, I've got nothing like that. But I'm sure some specialist could find something wrong with me.

I guess I have both. I did read that ADHD was the renaming of ADD (and Wikipedia redirects ADD to ADHD, too.)

I don't understand how you can be diagnosed for asperger syndrome when you're 6 or 8 like you guys have :X

I mean kids don't even really have their own personality yet

my kindergarten teacher tried to make my parents take me to see psychiatric help and that I may need medication. Naw.

QUOTE (Jack Thompson @ Nov 25 2008, 01:29 PM)
i'm just going to say that if you're posting here, odds are you don't have aspergers, especially if you diagnosed it yourself or some **** because the symptoms for it are pretty much common of people that are shy and socially awkward irl (and guess what kind of people tend topost on internet forums like these!)

and since i'm not in any mood to get perma'd, i'll just leave it at that

contrary to me, who legitimately got diagnosed with it and i don't even think i have it.
