It's not much... But I made Olimar in 16-bit SMB3 style. I tried to mimic the SMB3 Mario's animations and basic form as much as I could. Though, since Olimar's design is already a riff on Mario's, it wasn't very hard.

I was too lazy to make Pikmin to go with him.

Edit: And, before an accusation comes (though I highly doubt my sprites are good enough to confuse anyone), these are NOT edits. I didn't even look at the SMB3 Mario sprites when doing these, unless you count picturing them in my head.

I tried to keep the shading simple like it was in 16-bit SMB3, it was basically two shades for each color wasn't it? Though I see maybe my shading was a bit too subtle for this style...

It's funny, Olimar's suit actually has something akin to overalls in it, and not just in my sprite, the actual Olimar model. You can't tell in the games because you're always looking at him from far away, but if you find a close-up pic, you can see it.

Ah well, at least I managed to make 'em look like some Mario style nonetheless. SMB3 and Paper Mario styles are similar, but I guess mine wound up being closer to the latter.
