A step too far...

My parents are turning against me, they want my passwords for every single site i go to, including my PC user, they want me to send a regular history of the sites i've been too to them too.

Why?
Apparantely i can't be trusted... i don't have any privacy anymore, every move i make is being watched, and i can't help but wonder why i'm being treated like an object which they own, it's unfair... sure it's their house, but they've never turned on me like this before, it's like i can't be my own person, i have to be what they want me to be.

My mother even went so far as to call everyone i talk to my 'nerd friends who don't have any lives'

i'm growing sick of how i'm being controlled like a puppet... you know, it sucks... i can't be who i want, i can't be anyone apart from their slave.


I need to talk to my Dad about this, i think it's gone to far now.
It's time i voiced out my opinion on their rule.

TLDR: Parents want to monitor every move i make, removing my privacy.

Please do be polite about it because my parents are insane as **** too and they did everything in their power to keep me under their thumb until I turned 21.

Overprotective parenting is awful. >_<

It never used to be like this... over time they've been gradually adding pressure to my life, trying to crack me in hopes they can learn about 'the possible pedophiles you talk to.'

They think i'll play dumb and just give away my privacy, but i'm not giving up anything until i know the real reasons why.

You go to freaking MFGG and we don't allow those things.

My parents don't even know I go to MFGG and all of the other sites I go to.

They just think that I end up going to random flash game sites because I'm bored.
Like all of the other people I know who say they have "lives."

They really think i don't know any better.

I mean, my mom hasn't done that to me yet (she's computer-dumb), but she treats me like my point doesn't matter. I'm just some ignorant kid that doesn't know better and she's the freaking Queen of the World who thinks that everything she says or does is correct, even if she doesn't have a clue what the hell she's doing OR saying!

They are obviously afraid. They are scared and worried for your safety and taking these drastic actions because of that

My parents gave me free liberties to do whatever I wanted on the internet. All the "don't go talking to pedophiles" pays off when you're international friends visit and you tear it the **** up for a week.

Tell them to back their stereotypical overprotected parenting off.

Ugh, I hate it when parents act like your opinion doesn't matter, that's taking away part of the Right to pursue Happiness!

My parents respect my privacy.
But that really sucks, maybe you should talk to your parents about this.

My parents don't give a damn what I do on the Internet. They assume I'm a trustable teenager. It's just when it's NOT Internet related that chaos ensues. I understand the overprotectiveness but goddamn. It's just an unnecessary method of parenting, IMO.

But yeah, that just sucks. They're completely inconsiderate. I mean, the Internet may sometimes be a dangerous place, but as long as you aren't just talking with some random pedophile who only wants to rape you or getting your identity stolen, there's not much to worry about.
