I think it is... it's some stylistic thing... I don't really get it though.

I don't know where you're going for in this piece, but I'd recomend you'd give it a rockier aspect so it will have a concrete form of shading

The outline looks good, but the shading needs some work. I can't tell what's happening with that.

It's basically the way TFGD sprites, and he's copying it.

Not the best style to copy imo, but whatever
