Umm... OK, to start, the Koopa Shells have hexagonal (I think) marks, and the bottom is white, not yellow, and it's very little... The shape and the shading it's good tough imo.

For it's size, the shape is good. I would suggest using, first of all, a better color set, second, an image host (http://imageshack.us http://www.photobucket.com), and third, make it bigger. Much bigger.

Try giving yourself some more practice before posting another sprite, it'll help.

It doesn't look at all like a shell, it looks too octagonal, too small, MSPaint default colours, etc.

EDIT: Looking at it more closely, all it needs is a little recolour and you could pass it off as a switch on the floor.

It can't take more than a minute to make a sheel like this.

You could try to make bigger Koopa shells with a better palette next time.

And sheels are useless without a Koppa in the same style.

And possibly Marro or his twin brother Mairo.

Needs texture on the green part, and the rim goes up, then down again.

I uh I hate being deconstructive but this is pretty worthless. If you made a sheet or something I'd be able to comment more thoughtfully on it but as it stands, it's pretty much 'hey mom look what i did on paint' when you were eight or something 8(

Um ― this is pretty boring. The shading is good, but the colour palette looks like Microsoft Paint. Also, it's too small. Making it look like a ingame-size shell without the gaming graphic is pretty useless... so; make it bigger.
