Maybe. It really varies. Is it a workshop laptop, or a gaming laptop?

Steam games can be downloaded to any computer from your account, remember.


So if it doesn't work when you install it on a laptop, you can try it again on a better computer later.



...And you should at least be able to run HL2.

Well it's definitely not a gaming laptop, I know that.

And right now we don't have a family computer, so if I want to get it, it may have to be on this, at least until we get a strong enough computer.

Note: You also don't have to get strictly Steam games - it makes it easy for me and most Steam games are awesome, but if you're not into FPS', you can also get other PC games online, or hell, if you want a video game, I can get one for you and mail it to you.


Also, if you really want a game, you should get a demo of it so you can figure out if your laptop will run it.

I have gametap actually- I'd still rather have the game itself, gametap hides all the files away so no mods or anything

It's really a hard decision, there's so many awesome games out there I can't choose what I want

I was always curious about the Orange Box, which is why I'm considering getting Steam.
And I would go for the mail a video game idea but, as embarressing as this sounds, I don't think my parents want anything mailed to me from somebody on the internet - they really wouldn't go for that.

l4d is fun with friends (but pretty much only with friends)
