I personally do like the Sonic CD JP soundtrack version tons more than the American one. Not because it's Japanese..but because it just sounds better..

and yes some people can get annoying with their obsessions over japanese cultures.

USA's Sonic CD soundtrack is superior on most accounts. The American Stardust Speedway's and Palmtree Panic's tracks just fit the levels better.

Comparing the US with songs such as Tidal Tempest(Present), Quartz Quadrant(Present), Stardust Speedway(Past)(YES), and etc from the japanese version..I think sorta just ground flats beat it. In fact I tried listening to all the US songs, but quickly deleted them all. Maybe I should relisten to them.

My liking japanese stuff has absolutely zero effect on what you like, so why should you care in the first place?

not really because all their instruments only last so long in that atmosphere, which is why the entire soundtrack is made up of 58 10-second songs


it also cost more to make the soundtrack than the game itself
