Hi, I was wondering if there was a demand for Mario Turnbased RPG Fangames? I don't see many at all. I was wondering this because I have started working on one.
My RPG engine I am making supports 5 enemie battles, partners, different weapons, and action commands(not finished partners yet). Items and special attacks aren't yet started.

So does anyone want to play Mario Turnbased RPG Fangame? If not I probley will stop makeing it.
Thanks.

As long as it's in "relation" to the Mario series' per se; it doesn't matter what type of game it is. Good luck on your project.

No need to ask for the demands, just make what interests you. There is probably loads of Sonic game demands, and look how the games they release turn out.

If you can get one out, great.

But RPGs take much more effort to make than you probably realize, and I'm saying this from experience.

I am going to continue working on one and you can try the engine test in this topic.

I know it will take alot of work and also why isn't there any other Mario Turnbased RPGs? I want to play one.

I know it will take alot of work and also why isn't there any other Mario Turnbased RPGs? I want to play one.

Because they ARE a lot of work. Even if it's a small one, or a simple one.

That's pretty much the reason why Square Enix and Namco take their time in creating the next Final Fantasy or Tales Of <insert anything here> series installment. Even if they use a similar engine between them, or if they're using an already existing one, like the Unreal Engine.

Even the RPG Maker users spend a lot of time in their creations. A nice example of this would be a game called Yume Nikki: It has been out on the web for years, and maybe it's playable from start to finish, but the author is still adding things to it.

So many fangame enthusiasts try to stay away from the RPG lane. Too much work.
