Yeah, I'm starting to EV train, but I still got some questions left:

-I suppose I should first FINISH the game, and them start EV training with FRESH Pokémons, right? (Yeah, lulz, I still gotta finish it)

-Is it alright if I pick fresh Pokemon from wild instead of breeding? Breeding has it pros, right, but since I'm starting I still think breeding is kinda hard and techinical. Plus I don't have a Ditto yet.

-It's fine to me to train with Power ["Something"] from that Battle Tower shop, but will it take THAT long if I don't infect my Pokes with Pokérus?

-I'm using a Luxio, a Ponyta and some other pokemons I loved to use it. Since I'll use them to get through the game, they'll get EVs screwed up and whatnot. So, after I finish the game, the right thing to do is to get them again from wild or breeding, so I can train them without screwed-up EVs and without wasting Effort-reducing berries, or is there another thing I can do? (A.K.A. What would you do if it was you?)

Thanks guys :3

Finishing the game would probably be best. Use who you have and just go for it.
Afterward, it's up to you which Pokemon you want to use. Typically it would be a good idea to get new ones. (It might have been a bad idea on my part but I had a sentimental attachment to my Emerald Swampert, so I still use him. But his IVs are pretty good overall, so it's ok.)

Picking from the wild is fine, but remember you don't get to put any egg moves on them, plus the IVs will be out of your control. So you'll have to catch a lot of them if you want a good sample size.
PRO TIP: Do you have a Pokemon who has the ability Synchronize? Put him or her in the first slot in your party and you'll run into Pokemon of that nature much more often.

Since the Power items add 4 EVs in addition to the EVs you get from the wilds, you'll have to factor that in. Pokerus doubles the EVs you get while the Pokemon has it.

If you have Pokemon you want to use from the game, you can clear the EVs with those berries, yes. Keep feeding them until you get a notice that it didn't work.

Haha, yes, I kinda have a sentimental attachment to my Luxio too, but, meh, he's everywhere in the game, so I might end getting another one.

I still have to go through Egg Moves and see if there's somnething I may want, and, yeah, it seems better to get a good IVed Poke from breeding. But, for starting, I think I could go catching lots of Luxios/Shinx and calculate their IVs so I can find one with the desired values, right?

Not yet, but my (hacked >:/) cousin had a (non-hacked :P) Ralts with it. Maybe I can get one in the game by myself, but I didn't know that, anyway. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, but I kinda don't like having the Pokerus symbol thing in that Summary screen. But, eh, either way, I'll calculate how many battles I would need to take with and without. If I decide to get Pokerus, I'll get it online or with someone, but I just don't know how to KEEP it in-game. If I store the infected Pokemon in the PC, will him/her keep the virus? So when I hatch a fresh Pokemon, I just take him from PC and keep him a while with the hatched Pokemon in the party, right?

Ah, nevermind. I thought getting a new Pokemon would be better, but I can actually reset all his EVs and set them again while avoiding lvl.100, right? That would be even faster , plus I don't have to worry about leveling up if I Speed EV train with Magikarps, for example. Yeah, you're right ^^
I'm just not so sure about my Pokes's natures and IVs. Some of them doesn't help, so it would be better if I catched new ones (My Ponyta has an neutral Quirky nature, and it's IVs doesn't help that much into getting high speed or attack. So I think I could end up catching a better one when I start EV training. What do you think?)

Thanks again, Parakarry! :P

But more than likely the Pokemon you used in the first run of the game probably don't have optimal IVs. So you'll have to re-look at that in each Pokemon's case, see if you want to start anew.

Fun fact: since there is a range of 32 different IVs for 6 stats, guess how many combinations of IVs you can run into?

32^6 = 1,073,741,824

That's over A BILLION.

And that's also part of why I hate cloning. A Pokemon with perfect 31s should be a spectacle to behold instead of just a xerox copy.

Haha, I didn't know that biggrin.gif
I didn't know there were so many combinations, and I didn't know people used that WFC trick to clone perfect IV pokemons ^^

But, wait...If there are perfect 31 pokes, that means there are also "pure" zero IV pokemons....right?

Yup.
Definately a do not want.

Also definately don't think about cloning. Some people say "oooh it's totally ok" but really it's not. Duplicating a Pokemon decreases its worth, and the more of it there are, the less it becomes.

This is especially true about legendaries. If you had a perfect 31 Ho-oh, you'd be having something that would occur maybe one in a lifetime, given the odds. But as soon as you start copying it and giving them away... well you see what im getting at here. rolleyes.gif

Uhm, then you shouldn't give them away, but give a copy to another game of yours, as a back-up copy.

Macho Brace helps if your training more then one stat at a time, instead of just adding 4 for say attack. An example where this is helpful is Acuity lakefront, as the pokemon their all have 2 speed/attack EVs. There, if you are training those two stats, a macho brace will double the EV points you get no matter which stat, so basically you'll get 4 EV points per battle.

Edit: Also, I have a Garchomp with 31 IV's in every stat except defence cool2.gif
