let me explain.

back then there was this magazine called Beckket Pokemon collectors when Pokemon was the most cash cowed merchandised franchise.

one issue showed sprites of the new Pokemon for the 2nd gen.

I noticed Sudowoodo and Politoed both had giant circle fingers.
I assumed they evolved at the time.

I also thought Macargo evolved in Torkoal since they were beside eachother in the pokedex entry!
