This is a very different sort of style for you, I'd say... Maybe it's just the colouring, but this looks very compared to some of your other work.

Besides some of the clothing, I really don't see Kotoko.

Well, Kotoko is an emoish/sullen persicom in the anime/manga she's in. I tried to reflect her personality by making her frown and look away from the viewer.

It was pretty difficult to draw her looking away from the viewer, while still making her the center of attention, so I kinda upped the values in her coloring. :o

This picture is probably going to be another "black sheep". There's always one or two drawings I do every year which are bad. In 2008, the talim pic from january and the first nashura-tan pic were the "black sheeps" in that year. I am much more likely to draw such flukes in the beginning of the year... oh well, life goes on.
