SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP THIS IS THE COOLEST VERSION

<N>INJA MINI-GUIDE by tri/tgv
<N>INJA © 2008/9 me i guess

A. what the hell is <N>INJA?

you're a ninja, with cool ninja abilities. let's leave it at that. you'll use your abilities to progress throughout the game. in the final version there are gonna be cool bosses and all that stuff, but that's reserved for later so bleh.

B. How do I play this piece of crap?

there are 12 buttons you need to play, and the are set to the below by default:

Move around, climb ladders, move markers - Arrow keys

A (jump/confirm) - A

B (attack/back) - S

C (jutsu mode) - C

D (jutsu button) - Shift

Pause/cancel - Escape

R-button (restart/reset) - Backspace

X-1 (mystery button a) - F1

X-2 (mystery button b) - F2

you can change these at any time via the settings menu in pause mode, and if you screw up or want to reset defaults press backspace in key-change mode or in the parent pause screen.

and on how to play the game itself, here goes:

Arrow keys - use them to clamber onto ladders, or move around. they are also your primary control device for most jutsus.

A - jump. use it to jump offa ladders and stuff as well. you can wall-jump too!

B - attack. you can move small mobile objects by attacking them, or break crates to find chakra energy in them. if you press down+b in midair you will do a pound slam, which can also break crates.

C - jutsu mode. hold this button to enter jutsu mode and use your ninja abilities. the individual abilites are usually pulled off by pressing the jutsu button (D), but the Clone ability requires the use of the right/left keys. for telekinesis, when you grab ahold of a mobile object, release C to stop controlling it.

D - jutsu button. as explained above most jutsus require pressing D to be used, with the exception of Clone in this demo.

R-button - when in jutsu mode, you will activate the restart ability. this costs no chakra but you will lose all the progress you had made in the current level.

the others are self explanatory.

and if you can find out what X-1 and X-2 do for you, WELL THEN GOOD.

C. What the hell are those funky Japanese letters up there?

those are your jutsus. when in jutsu mode, press up/down to change the selected jutsu. if you're already using that jutsu you can't change until its effects are over.

the bar is your chakra. all jutsus, with the exception of restart, use up chakra so make sure you keep count of where it's at always.

the bottom-left corner is reserved for status messages. whenever you collect an item or perform a special action the screen will mildly flash and the status messenger will tell you what just happened, in case you missed it.

E. Anythin' else?
that's about it. i know it seems a bit complex as of now but when you get to play the game it's a bit simpler. just follow the tutorial (press down to read) and you should be alright.

seeya!!

Yeah a bit too difficult there.

Also I love the engine but the skeleton gets stuck on the second floor after I use my melee on it the first time making it so that I can't continue on with it.

This is pretty good. I just really don't like the constant after-image affect( unless he is running). Other than that great job.

You can, er, switch that off in the settings sub-menu.

And if it slows your computer down chances are the effects are TOO MUCH for it to handle. Maybe head to the settings sub-menu and switch effects off.

Very cool but the blurry resolution kills the gfx imo.
