It's theoretically possible, but EXTREMELY impractical.

Why don't they give Heatrans around.

I know you can catch him but he's awesome, like Metagross except he used rocket fuel as heroin.

For this Shaymin event, do we need to have the National Dex?

Did you guys go to the event yet? I went to Toysrus yesterday and downloaded the Shaymin onto my Pearl. I'm still SRing for a Timid 31 SAtk + 31 Spd set.

This is the best shaymin I got so far

Quiet #492 Shaymin: 27 / 31 / 30 / 28 / 27 / 30

Hidden Power Type is 'Fire'. Hidden Power Power is 59.

I tossed it. I wanted a Timid/Modest one...

You need as much speed on Shaymin-S as possible so you can outspeed Starmie, Darkrai, Gengar, etc. who carry Ice Beam.

Timid is the recommended nature, but Hasty/Naive work well too.

Also, HP Fire is for Scizor and other steel types who would otherwise wall Shaymin.

It can learn Earth Power from platinum, and some steel type pokemon won't like being hit by that move =o I guess the only reason it needs HP fire is for bronzing/scizor/skarmory...

I still have to clear up one of my wonder card slots for either Darkrai or Deoxys.

Seriously, there's only so many times you can save/reload until it just becomes mind-numbingly dull.

This is also one of the reasons I'd just love to go to Flower Paradise myself and capture the cute thing.

Though what is it with you and always speed nature speed nature?
All this focus on speed makes me want to raise slow but super-defensive Pokemon.

EDIT: Getting two 31s, and the right nature? Just did the math, and damn, that's a 1 in 25,600 chance of happening. You should really just reroll until you get a Shaymin you're happy with.

so, what are some good stats i should get?

I'm likely going to pick her up on Thursday.

I need to finalize my Darkrai or Deoxys to free up wonder card space.

Also Shaymin's base stats are all 100, but her best attacks IMO are special attacks. Sky Form has a lot more special attack and speed, but with lower defenses.

Here are the highest possible stats you can get a shaymin

plus nature stat: 132
neutral nature stat: 120
minus nature stat: 108

So if you have a modest shaymin (+sp atk, -atk), the highest sp atk it can get is 132, the highest attack it can get is 108, and the others can get the highest of 120.

ooh, and it is possible for me to get another shaymin via Toys R Us? I'd like to keep two shaymins (one in land forme, the other in sky forme)
