None of these diet things would be needed if we just used the fats as a source of energy.

this eat less exercise more bull**** i've been hearing is bull**** and actually causes you to gain weight

eat more exercise more. lose weight this way.

Eating more or less doesn't change anything. You need to actually carefully choose what you eat and when you do it. For example, a simple healthy breakfast would be some orange juice, a slice of bread or toast and a bowl of cereal. Sure it's more than a donut or a coffee or whatever the hell you people have for breakfast but it's actually a lot healthier.

I'd also recommend walking to school and back sometimes. That's always a nice workout. I live a good 40 - 60 minutes away from my school so I get a good work out out of my trip home. Especially keeping in mind that you're carrying like 5-15 lbs of books and homework on your back.

I can't make eye contact with fat people. If someone thinks that's being insanely skinny or more than medium build they should never find love.

I'm easily the lazy person I've ever heard of and I still feel the need to go jogging every now and then and on average eat about 1.5 meals a day (due to laziness). Fat people aren't lazy - they just like eating; boo hoo.

Hide your shame.
Never go out during summer.

This may actually be one of the few subjects I feel strongly about. But it's only because I was forced for about two years to be in contact with an obese friend of a friend who would constantly rant on and on about how I'm too skinny and how it's difficult for her to be so large. Ugh. Bad times.

I'm not as fat as I am now than I used to be. Although I still think that I'm a little fat :p
I can still remember last summer and my losing 35 pounds. Quite honestly, I owe it all to my dedication to exercise and proper eating. And no, I didn't starve myself. LEAN CUISINE FTW

I do like having a little bit of bulk on me. I guess I just like to appear a little bulky most of the time. But being outrageously fat, not going down that road again.

EDIT: And I personally believe that being a little fat is still nothing to be ashamed of, just as long as you're not out of control with it.

wow, Im only like 100lbs. But Im pretty young though (im realtively tall aswell)

Also, people that have been fat in the past, even if they lost it all, are more likely to become fat again. This is because when you are fat you have fat cells. (duh) when you become thin, they just shrink instead of going away whihc means that they can easily expand.

I cannot stress how true this is.

It is like ****ing dietritians but with easy access. Just make sure to post pics so they can judge you better.

Also, there is this one fat guy who picks on, but it doesn't bother me. Sadly, we ride the same bus and he doesn't ****ing shower for the two simple laps, roughly 1/5th of a mile, we have in P.E. If SUCKS. And my new schedule puts him in a class of mine.

Some misconceptions going around.

That BMI chart and the typical BMI calculator on google do not take into account muscle mass, only your total weight.

Saying you eat a lot of bad foods and are healthy is a contradiction. Just because your high metabolism happens to keep your weight in the good areas of the chart/calc doesn't mean you're healthy.

As Meda has said, chances are your metabolism will begin to slow down as you age...so if you aren't exercising much now, I highly recommend you get a head start before you get older.

QUOTE (Frostbite @ Jan 22 2009, 08:25 PM)
Its funny how mfgg thinks big people choose to be big. Its also funny that they think big people choose to stay that way, because "its easy" to loose weight.

Fat people jokes are immature.  Some people do have eating problems, why do you guys find it so funny to make fun of them. Especially on board where many of the members are big.

It's not that they choose to be big, they just choose not to do the things they need to do to tone down their weight, which results in their obesity. Also, in theory, it is actually really easy; we've just been so conditioned by society to overeat and choose the bad options that putting the concept into action is harder than it should be. If you can just show a little self-restraint, though, it is actually easy. The process itself is simple; but it takes control to master the process.

Fat people jokes areimmature, though; I'll agree with you one that one.

I understand and accept that there are outside sources (Heredity, diseases, etc.) that, out of our power, control our bodies to an extent. The people who cannot control their bodies because of these conditions are a vast *minority*.

An addiction is an addiction, and I have seen friends recover from alcohol addictions, narcotics addictions and over-eating addictions and I firmly believe that most people with "eating disorders", whether they truly have them or not, use that as an excuse to lay waste to their body. *These* people, I don't offer any sympathy to.

Almost 6 foot but I'm 250 pounds. I'm only fat on the belly believe it or not, I can still run fast and whatnot. Shouldn't have drank that much pop in my pre-teen years.
