Fat girls, not so much EDIT: Unless they're old, fat, black women, then I'm cool with them |
I always found this interesting, considering women have a naturally higher tendency to put on body fat as opposed to muscle.

| QUOTE (Morrad @ Jan 22 2009, 09:47 PM) | I used to be big. But I started to work out rather than diet. I didn't lose much weight but I built muscle. Good idea for some people.
I'm 5'8 and 160 pounds. Average or a bit above it. |
Interestingly enough, exercise is only around 30% of losing weight. The rest is diet.
And thus that is why so many people fail to lose weight. %O
Workin' your buns off and eating those same double chili cheese burgers isn't going to change a thing.
General yous and yours. Not you you.
| QUOTE | | Incidentally, is it very common for males to be specifically attracted to overweight women, as opposed to thinner ones? (Not meaning this as an implied slight toward overweight women, mind you.) |
I believe this more often then not has to due with the natural attraction a male has to a woman who has a body that can support children and is fertile.

| QUOTE (ndsfreak @ Jan 23 2009, 11:08 AM) | | I'm 5'8", weigh 140 pounds, and a lot of it is muscle mass. I do 200 crunches and 100 push-ups every night so I have a 6-pack, and I'm constantly working around the house with my dad, so I have fairly big biceps. |
You speak of 140 pounds as if it's bordering on overweight or something to be ashamed of...

| QUOTE | 140lbs.
But I'm so skinny you can see my ribs. |
145lbs. I'm not rib-skinny, but pretty thin just the same.
This is pretty stupid as far as a topic. Gamers being fat is a stereotype that died around 2003-ish. The only reason you could say that is because America is the fattest country in the world, and also has the largest number of Hardcore gamers versus casual gamers. You can't generalize MFGG like that, one because a good bit of us aren't from America, and two because there's an old ass thread (That's still around today) caleed "Post pictures of yourself", and very few of us are proven to be very large.
That aside, everyone's got a different metabolism, and does different activities throughout the day. I love to eat my heart out, but I can break it down pretty quick without much effort. Add that to my being fairly active and I can't keep weight on.
However, there's plenty of people who don't eat much at all, and do plenty of physical work, but are still considered "large". It's all about the individual person. Nobody body gains or loses weight like another. You gotta specialize.
