Good. Now for some bluntness.

You and every other Republican on the board who goes preaching Anti-Democrat hate should cut your insults out first. It's ridiculous how your party makes us look like worthless trash/heathens, but when we call you out for it, you get butthurt.

I find it ammusing that Forst is the one who insulted republicans in genernal and imamariobro said nothing about Democrats in a negative way.

Democrats are much better! (Though I'm a Democrat myself, so I have a bias here)

QUOTE (Visionary @ Jan 23 2009, 07:11 PM)
Well you offended me, because I'm republican.

And maybe I see you as another person complaining and not knowing what the hell you're talking about. There are different levels between Democrats and Republicans.

Left to Right wing. Some people can be on the right side, doesn't make them red neck extremist.

Also, think before you type a bunch of idiotic things, because you've really hit my nerve.

Edit: I find it funny that you have said nothing about Democrats. Unless in your mind you think they're perfect.

This.

I don't know how you could agree with most democrat ideas.

.They have ridiculous regulations on things that should never be interfered with (Thanks too Hoover[who, back in his day, would be a modern Dem] and his Agricultural Adjustment Act, for example, farmers have had worse buisness; not the fault of "Global Warming". The AAA tells farmers how much they may grow, and how much they must sell it for. The AAA was made worse by FDR with more regulations. Here's a great quote of the "greatest" president, FDR: "Are we going to take the hands of the federal government completely off any effort to adjust the growing of national crops. and go right straight back to the old principle that every farmer is a lord of his own farm and can do anything he wants, raise anything, any old time, in any quantity, and sell any time he wants?" FDR when the Court struck down his agricultural program). And ridiculous, uneeded taxes.
.Trying to force global warming on us with future taxes and such, and forcing kids to learn about it (For ****'s sake, there have been studies which have proven that we've been in a period of global COOLING for at least the past decade. Christ.)
.Going out of the bounds of the basics the Constitution and Bill of Rights set up, especially creating stupid new amendments that contradict an old one
.Political correctness. 'Nuff said...
.Trying to get the law to swing their way (Court packing is a good example of this. "Court Packing" is when the President appoints people who he wants just to get anything he wants passed, no matter how ridiculous it is)
.I sorta discussed this, but how Democrats want us to be scared of something that's not as bad as the claim it to be (anthropomorphic, or man-made, global warming) and stuff that's not real (global warming, period)
.Sticking our nose where it does not belong in our country (American automotive bailouts, anyone?) So they failed. Fine, let them. It's their fault that most drivers find foreign autos to be more efficient, better built, etc, because the American Auto industries, frankly, are not producing as sufficient a quality of cars as, say, Toyota.

This is not meant to offend anyone specifically, but I see democrats as a bunch of power-hungry, nosey, fear mongers.Well, Frostbite, I will agree, though, that there should be SOME gun control, but not to high extents which'll make it near impossible to get one, or banning them period.

Gun control is more of a rural/urban issue than a right/left issue (except perhaps as a hobby). Urban people love gun control because cities have higher crime, gang problems, etc and guns help enable those people. Rural people hate gun control because they are more isolated from civilization/emergency services, and it's their only practical protection against intruders or possibly wild animals.

I'm pretty democratic, I tend to think that others should benefit for the most part.

The way I see it, if I had to give a blanket definition,

Democrats are more concerned for people as a whole and think others should benefit, try to make the poorer and less-off wealthier.
Republicans want to make the rich richer, and mostly care about the richest few. (Seriously, how do you explain all the tax cuts for the super rich people, while those who aren't as well off have to pay for it?)

That just seems wrong to me.

But on the other side, we have all these super rich people like Oprah, Tom Hanks, et al, and by voting democratic they technically wouldn't be voting for their own worth, but people like Oprah see that it's not all just about them.

The republican party was created for the purpose of abolishing slavery

I love it when people say the republican party is racist.

It was also for focusing in more on lower class citizens and workers, and that seems to have been shrugged off.

If this were strictly true you wouldn't have poor republicans (or rather, fiscally conservative people). Rather, they don't like free handouts. Look out for yourself, and if you want something, work for it.

It's still a gross over-simplification but basically they feel they've earned their money and they should be able to do what they want with it. They may even still be generous people supporting various charity organizations, but they HATE the government telling them who they have to give their money to.

According to the Political Compass I am a Libertarian left-winger, but that's because of my moral views. I think that people should earn what they have, instead of having privileges given to them for their inadequecy.
