Ahh well i dont want to been seen as the new-ish member that is overstepping herself... so yeah im just making my points subtle. So yeah, but you are right. I may be a liberal and dislike the conservative or republican ideology, but is just unfair to either side to process stereotypes as facts. That and those kind of demmies or liberals make people like me look bad...so yeah. All in all you're correct about the need for more the more informed

QUOTE (Zash @ Jan 24 2009, 04:01 AM)
I'm just going to hop on in this topic- and would you look at that, razz and mrs a are already here

I've given up more or less on defining myself within a political party. Very likely one exists that matches what I favor and oppose, but I'm too lazy an American to dig it up. Broadly speaking, I favor social freedoms, social reformation, and moderate economic freedom. More specifically, I would in a perfect government like to see an institution of marriage not bound to the word or religious idea, a separation of faith and state, consistent, relaxed gun control policies, education on all levels funded based on merit by the government, basic healthcare available to the unemployed(or gainfully employed but unable to obtain such care), and tough, broad regulations with next to no government interference with business. Realistically very little of that is possible.

I was actually really, really, really trying to not touch this one, but the amount of bollocks flying around this thread and being treated as fact just finally got to me.

Inquiry: in regards to your opinion on health care and education, I take it that means you're in favour of high(er) taxes (or at least understand that they will be in order to make the system function), correct?

Ha, you should have seen how I started out 'round these parts -- cut right to the chase when it came to misinformation and false statements. But then again, I had a lot of previous message board/forum experience, so I didn't really feel a need to be cautious or humble; in fact, in some cases, Medaf found himself having to restrain me from debate topics like these (still does, at times).

Speak your mind; as long as what you're saying isn't outwardly and intentionally malicious, you should be fine.

Yeah, I'm aware. And the naive part of me says if we paid for schooling we could make enough IT jobs(or any skilled career, tbh) to support higher overall taxes... But then that's why it's naive.

Also in a perfect world my government is in a country sitting atop a common albeit much demanded mineral. :x

But I think personally that Obama is unrivaled and may be the best president of the US ever.

Democrats are for me. Trough I'd say republicans aren't stupid for voting mccain, he would have been a pretty good president ( atleast several times better then bush ). But I think personally that Obama is unrivaled and may be the best president of the US ever.

1. Seriously, stop all of the hate on the Wii and leave Nintendo alone!
2. And this is coming from the self-proclaimed Sony fanboy who only plays mature rated games for hardcore gamers such as yourself.
3. you look for two minutes and we'll find one of your nice little "wii sux" comments
4. we've heard it too much from you, so go with your other "ps3 0wnz da wee" friends and leave the nintendo supporters alone for once
5.  let me tell you about my sexuality even though nobody asked. . .

I'm gonna lock this and leave some other mod to read it since I don't want my good mood ruined.

How willingly - They lay their love.
How willingly - They sacrifice themselves,
To the locust master - to the one that drowned the world.
How willingly - They lay their love.
How willingly - They sacrifice themselves,
To the bringer of hunger - To the one that drowned the world.
