Well the problem isn't with the pixel art itself, but this is a sprite competition. Other communities always have pixel art and sprite competitions separate from each other. Honestly it'd be like allowing animations in a drawing competition. Sure, drawing could eventually lead some people down the path to animation, but it's not for everyone. And if you were to vote in such a competition would you vote for a high quality drawing or a lengthy, high quality animation? This obviously won't be a problem with this competition since all entries will be pixel art. However, this competition is mislabeled.
I just think it would be a mistake to make this a common occurence, and I am sorry to interrupt the topic further.
By the way, ndsfreak, can't wait to see how that translates to full size.
