What i meant was, how could they make a sequel to Mother 3 without completely ruining the franchise?

Paper Mario 3/DS - Nothing like SPM, more like the first two PM games.
Kirby's Dreamland 4 - I'd like to see the Animal Friends come back for once.
NSMB2 - Just like SMB2, with more powerups, and Yoshi.

*Something new and interesting again.
*A free roaming Mario game, think Mario 64 but instead of worlds the entire game is one big world, platforming is still intact.
*1:1 sword fighting in a Zelda game, or a good Zelda fighting game.
*That scrapped Kirby game that was supposed to be on GameCube.
*Star Fox Wii game where you control the arwing like an actual plane (Use two nun-chucks, holding them down and foward would go down, back and down up, etc). No on-foot bull****.
*A true Pokemon adventure RPG in 3D, I've always wanted this.
*Another Luigi game, not necessarily another mansion game, it could be something different. Anything to get Luigi away from using a ****ing vacuum car or having vacuum tennis rackets and crap in every spin-off.
*A new and exciting Mario spin-off game that isn't a sports title.
*Nintendo + (awesome video game company) crossover title, preferably an RPG.
*A 2.5D Donkey Kong platformer for the Wii with the art style from Donkey Kong Country. No ****-eating grins, no baby characters, no drug enduced environments, but gritty (DKC feels pretty gritty to be compared to msost E-rated platformers), detailed environments with equally detailed characters. Gameplay would be like DKC only with some more combat moves added in for extra fun.
*Some ****ing stupid ass Mario spin-off that nobody would buy, but would be absolutely hilarious. Mario buys Grocessies, Mario takes a Walk, Mario at the Olympic Games, etc.
*Nintendo to team up with Square-Enix and make another Mario RPG, this time with the only art style again.
