What's the new demo going to have?
The next demo will include all of World 1 and Worlds 2-1 through 2-4. Unfortunately, Luigi won't be playable for now.

Notice: Help Wanted
A few guys suggested that I use custom sprites for this game. I like this idea, but it's going to take quite a while to get things done if I work alone. So I'm asking for help from you to help sprite things like enemies, bosses, and characters for this game. You will get credit for helping of course. I only need a few spriters to help, and you can post in this topic or PM me if you're interested.

Story (In a nutshell)
Bowser finds a powerful item called the Ztar Rod, which has a large source of power. He uses its dark energy to make himself invincible to anything. He also destroys the rod's opposite, the Star Rod, at Star Haven, and scatters its pieces across the Mushroom Kingdom and gives them to his most powerful minions. Meanwhile, Mario was enjoying his vacation, when Chippy sends a message to him, explaining what has happened. Now Mario must once again save the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser.

It's a nice start so far.
The jumping seems weird to me, though. I think you jump too fast and fall too fast.
Also, you can't kick Koopa shells without being hurt. And if you go into one of the areas with the Koopa Troopa and the pipes on each side, it's very hard to escape from the moving shell. Maybe some invincibility time after you recover?

As the other to said, decrese jumping hight/speed and the thing with the koopa shell.
Also I think that you should increase walking speed and it's kinda wierd that Mario is faster than Luigi (But I understand why you are doing it like that).

But other than that it's a pretty good engine.

Fixed the Koopa shell problem, and changed the jumping speed. The goal system and a temporary intro has also been added

This update is a lot better! Not that the older version was bad or anything. ohmy.gif
Just two things:
-Enemies die when they touch a Koopa shell that it isn't moving.
-When Mario dies. he destroys any blocks he runs into on the way up. This isn't really much of a problem, but I'm just letting you know in case it wasn't meant to be like that.

The Fire Flower and Mega Mushroom are self-explanatory. The Ice Flower allows you to hurl freeze balls at your enemies, turning them into ice blocks. You can kick the frozen baddies at other enemies, Kirby-style.

Not bad. The goombas sky-rocketing after being killed/shot bugged me a bit.
You did a pretty good job on the feather, too, except for the start which shows the wrong animation.
