Interesting how the people voting "no" seem to be avoiding replying, rather than telling him how to improve in their opinion.

Also, MB, you're like me - you make good posts the majority of the time, but sometimes the members in a certain topic/area are in such a lousy mood/have lousy behaviour, that you just want to punch them and sometimes make bad posts.

You're not bad, you just... need to watch your posts involving your opinion sometimes. It's perfectly fine to have an opinion and I'm not saying you can't have one or show it, but having...

...as being the entire contents of your first post in a topic about a new game they're just starting to release information about isn't exactly very considerate of others and is just the kind of thing to get people upset with you. :(

You redeemed yourself later in the topic by stating reasons why you didn't like certain aspects of it, but still... just watch how you voice your negative opinions.

Yeah I get your point. Everyone were just kinda praising it and I thought "hey this doesn't look too great why are people being like this", so I intentionally tried to stirr up some reactions, as where if I had posted my reasons from the beginning, I would've gotten a "cool stọry bro", which isn't much of a discussion either :(

There's ways of generating discussion without making yourself seem insensitive. If you gave your reasons in the beginning and people reacted to it in the way you described, that makes them look bad instead of you.

Plus, your points were valid, given that only a small amount of information was given.

Tbh mecha, I think your post are extremely constructive and helps a lot when people are needing help or more critical comment rather than the usual "O NOES SMW SPRITES AGAIN" or "Lol add luigi plz" comments in the topic replies. People seems to be getting a little angry at you because this kind of USEFUL advice was already gone in MFGG for ages. I don't really remember what was the last time I received some good critical opinion rather than "DO THIS"-type of replies.

Actually, I remember far back into 2006 when I joined, I did a rather stupid post containing fanfic of some sort. Instead of the usual "olololol" or "Great another noob for this even noobier place" replies we're getting alot nowadays, I got a nice "Drezus, no one here really likes to write, sorry" reply from someone like MTC or Toadkarter, I don't know.
But, yeah, you can see how things changed over time.


TL; DR: You should keep posting like you always did, Mecha, since there's absolutely nothing on your comments that should make other people angry. It is the people that missed some of the real, useful criticism that made all the great member and the great community of the old MFGG.



EDIT: Oh, yeah, I think I should also say that nowadays MFGG produce much less games and...somewhat not as good as the old games. So running around just screaming "terrible game" wouldn't help, even if the game actually IS PRETTY MUCH HORRIBLE, because we lack the source (and motivation) to make better games than we did before. So, even if you see some of those ridiculous "catch the fruit" ish games, keep in mind that's almost everything we can do at this moment.
