Summary of Saturday, March 14, 2009:
Number of participants: 7 Time: approx. 3 hours Goals: achieved
- We have decided to use AIM instead of the IRC. This has proven to be a lot more efficient than the IRC. For those who do not have AIM, I will still have the IRC open when we have a meeting, and if needed will go to the IRC to talk. However, AIM is now the prefered platform of conversation.
- We have talked about the HUD. Shyguy Grey will arrange the elements we agreed on in different variations until the next time where we will decide. So far we know that the HUD will be based on SGG's sketch in the Concept Art topic and that there will be different extra bars for certain situations (extreme heat, extreme coldness, etc.)
- Bosses: We have agreed that the following three bosses from the Concept Art topic will be in the game: Plant Conductor, Piranhasite and Disguise Guy. Further details on these bosses will be discussed later. For a general overview of them, you can always check the Concept Art topic.
Plant Conductor: Instead of getting eaten, it will be pinged into the air by the piranha.
Piranhasite: Comes as a miniboss where it controls Wario. To defeat you need to stun Wario (with fruits falling from trees?) and then attack the Piranhasite itself. Piranhasite will appear a second time as a main boss, where it hijacks the body of a treasure guard.
Disguise Guy: Setup like a theatre play, with Shyguys cheering and changing the settings when this boss changes his masks. Each mask has a special ability. 1st form simply copies the player, 2nd form is a thwomp, third form mimics Bowser and the fourth form acts like a Boo. This form is invisible, and can only be seen if lightning strikes. An idea is also to have each form be fought by one character and use the characters' special abilities to take out this boss.
