Favorite TF2 gamemode?

I was curious as to MFGG's opinions on the game modes.

My personal favorite is Payload; it's got a central point of interest just like ctf maps, but it actually puts that point at action. With ctf maps (especially 2fort) everyone just gets distracted at random areas.

Also, payload doesn't really favor anyone (contrary to what I've heard, snipers really aren't overpowered on it.) My only gripe is that it REALLY favors the defense at the end--it often takes a full rush to get the cart through to the end.

Your opinions?

i like sudden death (where killing your enemies actually means something more than a respawn timer), and arena is sudden death but better

As a new guy/idiot, I'm a bit biased against Arena since I do more than my share of dying

I actually like Arena, just for the adrenaline rush. Normally every encounter is "whoops, I died. Whatever", but here you **** up and YOU'RE NOT TRYING AGAIN.

Good 'ol CP

I like payload as well. CP is pretty cool.

Arena is ok, but I'm not found of playing one life games.

CTF can be gruuueeeling.

Payload's my favourite.

I don't really have one. Maybe CP? It's easiest to spy on those maps, since people need to make pushes and you can gank them all as they do, or wait and leap stab them as they head to the next point.

Arena, I'm terrible on everything else.

Arena, but it's terribly hard to improve on your 'most points' on this mode.

Payload, as everyone is forced to push leetle cart and get on the objective, not just mindlessly spam (well, not necessarily anyway, what with some of the people I've seen).

TC seems like a ton of fun, but there's only ONE TC MAP

and it's hydro, and everyone hates Hydro.

I wish there were more TC maps.


But uh, otherwise, it's a tossup between PL and CP
