Shin Megami Tensei: IMAGINE, Weeabo + Pokemon + MMO

Didn't see a topic for this 'un. A free MMO by Cave, run by Aeria Games stateside. If any of you've played any of the previous games, you'll know the backstory. For those of you like me who haven't, in the year 199X, demons reappeared on Earth, upsetting the balance of power and leading to a war that ultimately results in an apocalypse. IMAGINE takes place in 202X, with the surviving embers of civilization slowly working to get earth into a state it can be rebuilt upon. As the player, you help accomplish this by assisting Home III in various missions, taking up weapons and magic, and by convincing or coercing wild demons to join and assist you.

All in all, a rather fun game, and the community, while small, has been helpful so far. There's also events going on every few days, with one or two starting i believe tomorrow. Hope to see some of you there!

Oh I've looking forward to this, didn't know it was out in english yet. Gonna download it now.

Demon negotiation?? Sounds like the first two persona games.

I wouldn't know, I've never played a game in this universe before.

But yeah, I forgot to mention obviously my name in game is Zasshou if anyone starts playing and needs any help.

So I just played it a bit, it's really cool although I'm a bit biased since I like the SMT series. The negotiating works basically the same as Persona 1 and 2 from what I remember anyways. Great game so far, in game name's Hausuke. Needs more people playing this.
Edit: Oh yeah the only problem so far is the slow walking/running.

I made a vow never to play a Free MMO ever again.

the only SMT game i've played is Persona 4

what should i expect from this

game is a clone of mabinogi, but worse since there is no real content past level 35. most of your time is spent just grinding the same dungeons over and over. also, there isnt a real economy, since there is basically nothing to spend money on at higher levels, so you'll see tons of ppl with hundreds of millions of money, with nothing to spend it on. i recommend staying away from this game.

That's... unfortunate sounding. I can't really comment on it since I'm only a level 17, but to my credit I've only run the Suginami instance 3 or 4 times. As far as the economy goes; It's still a relatively new mmo. I'm sure in time an economy will spring up, especially since not all the items(not to mention features) coded have been implemented yet.

DY: Expect combat based heavily on countering your opponent before attacking, and spamming talk to recruit demons.
