AT SOME POINT DURING THE WEEKEND, THE WII DISCUSSION IS BEING MERGED BACK TO WHERE IT CAME FROM

Well dear friend the Wii Discussion was always meant to be a temporary forum. It was born in late 2006 to take a load off the GC for when Nintendo's "fabulous" new console was released to the gaming public. That load... isn't much of a load now as the console has not lived up to gamer's expectations. MFGG is very much a "hardcore" market, of which the Wii does not hit many home runs in anymore. In short, discussion is limited by the distinct lack of titles worth discussing. In 2006 many of us expected A LOT of titles to make good use of the Wii's functions and the console would have a massive library of great games.

yes. But we don't need a whole forum for those games! Even Turndawg's rare brand of Japanese only shoot 'em ups can't fill the gap. And to be honest, even if it were a forum for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 it would probably be a similar situation. MFGG doesn't need an entire forum for one single console, even the Apple Pippin.

but it does give us a slot for the possible re-invention of the E3 forum! There's a lot of work being done to make E3 as good as it was a few years ago, and it might actually be a bit more interesting this year rather Cammi Dunaway talking about virtual dogs.

Unsticky it. It's an awkward topic seeing as it's useful but not GC sticky worthy, but meh. EU VC updates are only once a fortnight now anyway, and my interest in WiiWare lessens by the day almost. Would be nice if someone took over that role of "posting updated stuff in that topic".

No. You pay your taxes to fuel the economy and keep government businesses alive. Though most of you won't even pay tax so yeah.

Then the GC will be busy! Which I count as a good thing because it functions a bit like a sine wave at the moment, dipping in and out of being great and being a land of suckage. IT IS TIME TO LIGHTLY DAMP THAT OSCILLATION

Yeah I know I'm in the minorty who doesn't see the need to turn the place into a general gaming discussion, but even if I wasn't it would be stupid to do so without testing the waters in the GC first. I think the GC's got problems, yet I sit here saying things like "it'll be fixed eventually" (which it probably will, but still, it's not the sort of thing people want to hear). The GC's problems will be less obvious if they're surrounded in what little topics this Wii Discussion has to offer. If it does get overloaded, we might end up splitting bits off again, but it worked pre-2006 so there's no reason why it can't work now.

I can't put times on it as I don't know exactly when I'll be on this computer to merge it. It could be sudden. I could be in a crazy mood and do countdowns or all sorts of crap. WHO KNOWS.
