Attention those ripping from M&L3!

I'm currently hosting an M&L3 ripping project over at TSR. It would be really great if you joined and helped out with the project!

that's nice, now how about you guys come here and help us do the same since i'm pretty sure fangame creators are looking forward to using M&L3 sprites found on MFGG's site

So all that's left is Mario, Luigi, Bowser, the NPCs, items and backgrounds?

This isn't going to work.
Setting up emulation is a hassle, not to mention the mixed mash of experts and beginners taking this project up.
Did I also mention the ROM was released less than a week ago?

is there anything left to rip other than Chippy(if that's even its name)?

I think MFGG got dibs on Mario and Luigi.

To be fair, there's no way in hell that this game could be ripped properly by beginners.

Aside from the fact I'm personally not too keen on DS emulation while the thing's still being manufactured, chances are if I were to attempt a rip at this game someone else would eventually come by and do a better job. It's happened in the past. The only effective way to rip this stuff would be to edit savestates (unless there's uncompressed stuff... I haven't checked), and savestate editing is often more difficult than kids with print screen keys.

However the point is if there's tSR and MFGG working on the same game and the results are shared, MFGG gains more rips than what it would if it were attempting this on its own. And god knows the two sites should work talk more - I mean we've been affiliates for years and we've been fueling each others' memberbase for years too.

but that's kinda because we were collecting people who had run away from PT for a bit. And now PT's separate and has changed hands 5809324 times and all their older members have either disappeared or weren't on people's hit lists to begin with

in fact I think a good percentage of PT turned against tSR a while back so it's all crazy
