So I was finally coaxed into making a facebook

It is those people that obsess over it.

I don't use Facebook/Myspace.
I find them pointless.

Oh wait I have a Facebook that I check like once a month because for some reason some people I know think IMs and E-Mails aren't a better means of communication. Using Facebook to communicate over IM and e-mails is like a step backwards in society.

Some girl in my class was talking about how she was in a relationship, and how some of her friends said "Are you guys serious? Like, Facebook serious?"

I use facebook a lot and myspace. Some people hate using videogame forums, so yeah.

i think she meant "have you changed your relationship status"
which is indeed hilarious in it's own right

My housemate knows someone that broke up with his wife by changing his relationship status to single.

I've had a facebook for a while, in fact, its was gathering cobwebs until I went to London last year, where a lot of the people I met there had a facebook, so I dug up mine and used for it for that.

Then I found facebook isn't blocked by college networks, so I started adding friends from there, the rest is history!

facebook and myspace are websites made so you can keep in touch with your real life friends

which explains why many people here dislike them

I don't really get all the hate, its pretty much the same as a message board, just more focus on user profiles
