Super Mario bros: Hammer Bros. Revenge

This is a revival of an ancient game I canned.

Well, not really. My idea sorta grew on from he old one.

The original game was made in Hello's original engine, and this one is made in HE3.

Plot:
After many years, Bowser is finally defeated! There is a huge party at Peach's castle, and something goes horribly wrong! Tons of Hammer bros. start appearing! All of the Toads and Princess Peach go inside the Castle, Mario & Luigi stay outside and fight. Upon defeating them, they tell you that they have a new king... but who could it be?

Ranks!
The ranks are (From worst to best):

Z- -10000 points at end of level.

F- -5000 points at end of level.

D- -1000 points at end of level

C- you don't gain nor earn points at the end of a level.

B- +1000 points at end of level.

A- +5000 points at end of level.

1 star- +10000 points at end of level. You also get a 1-up.

2 stars- +50000 points at end of level. You also get a 3-up.

3 stars- +100000 points at end of level. You also get a 5-up.

I must say this looks like a good game!

If that king so happens to be wart or fawful, many will not play this game.

I assure you it is not. However, Chippy (Aka Yellow Star) from M&L 3 will appear. She's pretty much the equivalent of Toad from SMB3.

As for the drowning Toad, maybe the water should be in front of the Toad.

It looks good, but I'm somewhat tired of seeing black squirrels tileset. Will they be used in the final game?

Well, sadly for you, yes.

And Doodleboy, that's a good idea, I'll try it out.

Chippy now stands in front of the castle, if you talk to her, you can choose to leave, or stay.

The map will have 2 cannons shooting at the castle. You go up to them and enter a battle sequence.

Defeating all of the enemies will destroy the cannon. At the cannon, 2 new variations of Hammer Bros. will appear... BOMB BROS!

Search. Some. Better. Tileset.

I'm glad you're changing ANYTHING of HE3, but it'd be EVEN BETTER if you re-sprite EVERYTHING.
Look here, take one of these and maybe recolor it.

Otherwise this game looks great.

heh, I looked at my tiles then and realized how much they sucked.

Cannon Battle Screens & Map screens, here we go!





Chippy explains the cannons, Chippy only explains once, so you don't have to read the message every time you attempt to destroy a cannon.




The cannon goes boom.

The cannon is now a big pile of rubble.

Thats a good idea. Also, you really should change the tileset. There is so many to choose from! This game looks like it can be great and it shouldn't held back by tiles!

JPEGs are bad.

Also, yeah, fix your tilesets, they're overused and badly put together here.

Gah... I guess I'll choose another tileset.

Anyways, I plan on giving the cannon a life bar. Normally it takes 3 bombs to defeat.

Pretty good.

fyi, the game starts at Peach's Castle, I have finished the first storyline-related part of the game. The first level is complete, and the second level is being perfected.
