BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams

Yeah, the trailer made no sense to me either.

Having not played the original game, I'm not looking forward to this, most likely because they'll jack up the price for the PC version.

Well, If I tell you it will admit a hell of alot of spoilers.

But I understand it fully :D

(If only I new how to make those spoiler things that you can do on
forums, But I dont ^^)

So you expected to understand the trailer to a sequel of a game that you've never even played?

The trailer made perfect sense to me. I played the first game and it really tells you all you need to know!

I suppose I can tell you a little about it:

Spoilers:

That girl you see is a little sister, they carry atom. In the game they are protected by Rosie or Big daddy, once you kill either rosie or big daddy you choose to harvest or rescue them, when you harvest them you kill them, (as far as I know, I have never harvested them) and get lots of atom, but if you rescue them they turn into normal girls. In the end of the game there are 2 differant endings depending on if you harvested them or rescued them, that is a grown up little sister with a big daddy doll. And as from the city coming out of the sand, you can guess surely...

Actually, it's called ADAM, not atom. And yes, the little sisters die upon the harvesting. And there are also THREE endings. but one of them, the one where you save some little sisters and harvest others, is the same ending as the one where you harvest all of them, except Dr. Tenenbaum narrates it in a different tone.

Steam had it for $10 not too long ago.

So oooooold.

But yeah, the trailer says nothing about the gameplay. I liked the first one so I'll buy this...

Yeah, so basically there are only 2 endings, if you count the other ending in a differant tone of voice. Really, Holy melons, whenever Atlas used to say Adam I thought he was saying Atom?! Wow!

But yeah, the first one was good, so I will definately get the second one!

Well its ADAM and EVE... like the biblical story, why would it be atom and eve?

anyways are the games (or game) any good I was thinking about getting it but I dont know if its worth it.

Bioshock is a pretty decent game.

I hope bioshock 2 will be worth it.

Yeah I'm in that same boat as well. Bioshock was one of my favorite games of 2007 and I fear that this game might be just a simple cash in on how popular the original game is, hell the original team isn't even working on the game. Now the game could be good and all but it has a lot to live up to and I have no idea how they can make a sequel in terms of narrative based on how Bioshock ended.
