I am kinda confused why everyone wants it just like Street Fighter II though. The games gained a lot of depth later on, I guess people just wanted it simple so they could actually play it and do decently with little effort. Parrying is there though, so I am interested.

I appreciated the balance of simplicity and "more advanced" stuff used in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom(4-button setup for simplicity and stuff like Baroque combos for better players). If SFIV can deliver something similarly simple and deep at the same time then I'm sure to have a blast when I get it.

I wanted something that played like SFII because it was a easy game to pick up. It got really complex later with all the powerup bars n' such, not exactly appealing to those who have never played it before. I think everyone has also grown up with SFII more so then the other ones, so they like seeing old characters and moves and being able to continue where they left off. Or I do at least.

Mariogamer, don't worry, single player fighting games are really no-brainers. just like shmups.

Just give it some time will ya.

I'm sorry, man. Truly.

You will never be as pumped for SFIV as you were for Tatsunoko VS. Capcom. the game doesn't compare to the VS. series at all. I say bu it for your collection, for lulz, and for some mediocre fun, but not to replace Tatsunoko.

No I meant the game. Eh, I don't think its all that great, but it ain't **** either.

Oh, that's what you meant.
I think if I play it one more time for a few more minutes, I'll see how good it really is.

Also, there better be some Evil Ryu or I'll be pissed. >=(

The problem with the AI in games like Street Fighter is that its intelligence will rise pretty sharpish in the Arcade version so that you end up losing and having to pay more money.

I've found in the past that the AI had suddenly become stupid after they've beaten you once and you've had to go through the continue screens and stuff.

and no I'm not a big 1-on-1 fighting game fan. You're either really good at them or you're not. There's no in-between, because the computer will beat the in-betweeners.

The computer will beat bad players, not in-betweens. Only game I recall that even good players struggled in single player were the Mortal Kombat games, and that's because they were broken beyond all belief in terms of AI.

I figured as much, which is definitely why I never was actually stoked for its arrival. I'll most likely try it out on PC after everything is said and done, then I can see for myself.

I've only played it a few times, and I liked what I've played of El Fuerte and Rose

and third strike's way too defensive to be the best street fighter, bros, super turbo still remains the best

I hope to god he's not playable online. He's so broken and cheap that letting others play him would be completely unfair.

Thanks for clearing that up, BS. I've been believing that the machines were intentionally harder for years, and very few people believed me. Of course, I'd rather have it that way. If I go to the arcade, I want a challenge.

Glad I'm not the only one that believed this.
