don't think he was trolling

yes, why do you ask?

I was just pointing out how long we thought that fact. :x

It'd actually be sweet if the world just kept looping on the X axis like a video game.

Quick responders: Keep in mind an X axis does not curve.

Yes, so why believe everything in a book written a long time before that?

Technically, science has existed forever.

Because I have "silly little religious beliefs" that you might find silly and won't bring out onto the forum very much.

There Bible isn't entirely fake, nor is it entirely real. It's got a fair share of information in it that is undeniable and based on fact and foresight. There's just a whole bunch of other gunk and improvisation in it that helps misconstrue the truth and the stories origins.

It's like one giant, epic Mad-Lib.

You do realize the bible was translated, right? They had volcanoes back then, I'm sure, so it made sense to assume they came from hell or something. They used whatever word they had for "hot rocks underground" or whatever, and obviously in today's terms, that translates to brimstone.

Also, if you don't follow the bible word for word, you're not a christian. The highest of high priests will tell you you're not a christian. (well, actually, they'd probably call you a "sinner" and say that it's never too late to convert, or some ****), but anyway why would you label yourself with a group that doesn't even seem to want you in it, unless you play by their rules?

So yes, you can believe in Science and the bible.

But then you're not a christian. Then you're just making up your own religion.
