I don't really understand the appeal of Sonic X-treme. Never liked the look of it, and wouldn't want to play it.

Agreed. It looked good for it's time I suppose, but it really doesn't look like anything special.

it's better than the crap we're getting today.

How do you know? Did you play it?

And I personally found Unleashed to be absolutely lovely, looks much better than X-Treme. You can say "Oh! It plays itself!". If you payed any attention to the X-Treme videos there were plenty of self playing moments. Those straight lines where Sonic turns into a ball, the giant rings Sonic flew through as a ball, etc. X-Treme just looked boring too, the art style and music is really nice though.

I have faithfully bought every sonic game since 2000 and it was all save for sonic chronicles utter CRAP

it's engine test alone was more fun than Sonic Unleashed's day levels


granted, those levels are fun, but if this engine test was applied to Sonic X-treme levels, hot damn, brother, we'd have a really fun game - and without the Warehog bull****

I'd have to beg to differ. People say sonic games now are too on-rails but half the time in those videos all I see is someone pushing right after they step on one of those switches and sonic automatically running around some crazy loops.

which people are saying this, as far as i'm aware according to several video game websites, people have been complaining about voice acting, Sonic travelling too fast in the daytime levels, the Warehog levels, Robotnik being ridiculous, and lack of plot

every sonic game besides sonic chronicles that came out after 2000 has sucked.

oh and yeah of course I have played the engine test.
