| QUOTE (OniLink10 @ Feb 27 2009, 03:49 PM) | | All it really added was 2 Shoulder Buttons AFAIK. |
And how is that bad?
Also, I love this quote:
| QUOTE | | ...Has Nintendo seriously forgot how to appeal to hardcore gamers. To me this looks like they're trying their hardest to make something just for them but messed up. |
It's a controller. How the hell does it attempt to "appeal to the hardcore audience"?

| QUOTE (Someguy @ Feb 27 2009, 06:38 PM) | | I thought it was because the old controller had copyright issues with Analscape or whatever it was, so they made a new controller that didn't have those. Given GCN controllers apparently aren't sold anymore either from what I heard, it makes sense to make it a bit more like the PS2/GCN style to make up for that. That's just speculation, though, maybe they just wanted to make a different controller, or maybe they looked back at the old one and went "you know, it probably would of been better like this", like they did with the DS when they made the DS Lite. |
What part of the old controller needed to be removed due to copyright reasons again? Because from what I can tell, they both look exactly the same besides the shoulder handles and moved second triggers. And I already like how the other feels in my hands. As for the DS Lite part, this feels more like they're changing something already "Lite" into "Phat" or whatever the old DS was called (also I never bought a DS lite).
To be nice though, I'll admit that this isn't too big a deal. And even though I find it unnecessary I'm under the impression that this didn't take as much time to come up with then something like a new DS.
Before anyone thinks it I'm actually neutral about the DSi. Waiting to see what exclusives come out before judging that.
