And like what was mentioned, the run button is pointless. You don't really have much of a reason to go slower, since the whole game is a race against the other player. So, you should just take the run button out. It would be a lot easier to control that way.
Or if you want to keep the run button, make the run button and the apple grabbing button the same. In Mario games, like SMB3, the run button and the grabbing button is the same, anyway.

But besides that, the game is nice.

The controls are SUPER (for me ohmy.gif )
