blasphemy is a victimless crime

one needs only to make up a religion in which belonging to any other religion is blasphemous to cause problems with this kind of law -- oh wait those already exist by the bucketloads and this is a terrible idea.

and it's a bit much, too. do we really need laws to protect and encourage willful ignorance?
but I don't even have to say that, it's so blatantly ****ing obvious that this is a bad idea that it confuses me how anyone was a big enough asshole for this idea to come about in the first place
