Isn't the point of General chat to be for all kinds of chat including news?

the point of the general chat is to find out what everyone's favorite luigi game is and to tell people you don't know to have a happy birthday

and occasionally post something that matters, just to see whether it explodes into an internet argument or gets buried under the above

Well funny thing is that a majority of the topics in General Chat are random news topics, often something that you can barely contribute any sort of discussion to. But I don't think that we should split news topics from the General Chat just because MFGG members are using the GC wrong.

Group: Members Posts: 6007 Member No.: 4259 Joined: 13-August 07 Status: (0d)	I'm sick of debate topics, I'm sick of people taking the GC so "seriously", because it really shouldn't be that way. people should be able to have fun in here too, but the ruthless and hardcore debate/argument topics have morphed this forum from something "user friendly" into something "hardcore", and I think it's actually scaring the new members away. a serious/debate/news GC sub-forum would be great, and I think it would be a lot more beneficial towards mfgg if it were put into affect. hell, maybe we could even get twistendo to moderate it or something.
