any and all arguing about the exact classification of a video game is entirely pointless and unnecessary.

all these games are video games, and further classification (into genres and such) is pretty much entirely pointless, especially when you're talking about whether a game is a "real ______ game".

i'm against classifying them further than generally "video games". when i say that something is a video game people immediately know exactly what i mean, which is less than can be said for further classifications
