Do you think that Super Paper Mario would have worked if it was on the GameCube? Why not a poll? Because, this isn't a simple "straight-forward" answer I want, explain why. Yes or No isn't really a good answer.

Me? Ofcourse, infact, until I get $249, I would have that game by now, and PLAY IT TOO

Why?

Because, if it was on the GC AND the Wii, than it would pull a Twilight on us.

It was originally supposed to be for the Cube if I'm not mistaken.

...if that were the case I would have been able to play it earlier instead of having to wait. sad.gif

I thought the plot was actually quite charming and a nice saving grace for the game, the game mechanics themselves just felt utterly sluggish and watered down. The other PM games, even turn based, feel like they're moving faster than SPM.

The platforming was a complete and utter disappointment, the jumps felt terribly slow and "scripted" as opposed to most Mario games, and the Pixls didn't really add to the platforming like they should have (Like.. they were mostly just for puzzle solving, and a lot of them were gimmicky and only saw a couple uses.)

The combat was terrible. Yes, I know that it's "simplified" like Mario games should be, defeating enemies by simply jumping on them, but in this case it was just awful. Because the jumping mechanics were stripped down so much, it made even jumping on enemies feel incredibly bland.

The "flipping" was a complete gimmick and could have easily been done on the gamecube version :\ The motion control bits of the game were a joke and gimmicky as well.

It'd probably work on the Game Cube. The only thing I believe would actually change would've been how you control Tippy to search for hidden stuff.

To be honest, they made a big mistake transferring from RPG to Platformer. That's the main weakness, and I know that ruined it for a lot of people.

It'd probably work on the Game Cube since it was originally supposed to be a Game Cube game.

But then again I've only played Super Paper Mario a few times at my friend's house; I don't actually own it. So I can't really tell.
